SHE-Q Manager – Subsea Cables

For our client we are looking for a SHE-Q Manager to assist our client on the offshore (renewable) energy projects.

In this role you are the facilitator and inspirator for the project team members to pick up their role(s) in the implementation of our No Injuries No Accidents (NINA) and Way of Working (WoW) programs and SHE-Q MS on the project. You are constructive in building relationships, both internal and external, and you know how to successfully translate what is important for our client and its subcontractors and Client. A people and risk focused mindset is key for this. Additionally, the goal is to create and maintain a collaborative working environment in which the project team (and Client) connect and understand each other. This includes advocating and facilitating NINA and WoW Fundamentals (sessions).

Your responsibilities as Project SHE-Q Manager:

The main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Set up the project SHE-Q MS and facilitate key processes: coordinating and developing documents and processes for SHE-Q, in line with our client and contractual client agreements. Key processes in which you have a (leading) role include: risk management, incident/ NCR management and SHE-Q related training.
  • Monitor and report progress (incl KPIs) of the implementation of SHE-Q plans, conform contract agreements and our clients SHE-Q standards.
  • Coordinate and perform verification audits and inspections on the project incl sub-contractors. Not based on checklists but on key project elements and processes. Audit planning is to be risk based.
  • Build and lead a Project SHE-Q organization and contribute to supplier and sub-contractor management.

Requirements

You can make your mark as Project SHE-Q Manager if you have:

  • A minimum of five years’ professional SHE-Q experience in a marine/maritime environment.
  • Good command of English (written and spoken).
  • Enthusiasm and passion for SHE-Q management and the ability to take others along in this;
  • Experience in (sourcing), setting up and managing a SHE-Q project organization;
  • Experience in value adding and process oriented auditing and incident investigation;
  • The ability to minimize the administrative burden for the project;
  • Excellent training, writing and investigation skills.
  • You’re willing to work on location for up to six weeks at a time, followed by up to four weeks’ leave.
