For one of our clients in the oil&gas industry we are looking for a Offshore Operator.
Our client is established in 11 countries worldwide and is active in the energy and water sectors. In the Netherlands, they operate as a producer of natural gas and are co-owner and operator of two gas storage facilities.
What will you do
The Production Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the production installations. He ensures that all routine checks and adjustments are made to operate as per plan and within designed conditions of the plant.
He reports all plant performance problems and safety concerns to the Assistant On/Offshore Installation Manager.
The operator is part of the Operations team and besides the day-to-day business he assists in maintenance activities, works on preparations of projects, and is an active participant in the continuous improvement- and process optimization loop.
Responsibilities
Operator fully capable to operate all aspects of a single set of facilities (i.e. all offshore oil/gas plants, or onshore BDF+PGI), in all conditions.
Typical examples of responsibilities duties/activities:
- Responsible for reporting correct production figures and daily production log, enter all relevant data into DM-gas, e-logbook and other databases/sheets. Ensures all relevant operating- or special instructions are communicated to the opposite shifts both verbally and by entries into the Control Room Log Book
- Ensures gas, oil, condensate, produced water and drainage water specifications or quality are maintained according to guidelines. Takes- and processes samples. Reports sample results.
- Reports mismatches in production sales. Investigates/reports on root causes of production issues.
- Responsible for operational activities undertaken on & around on/offshore installations according to safety procedures and critical (safe) work standards.
- Acts as verifier in Permit system. Performs necessary measurements to ensure safe workspace (Hg, LEL, Benzene, LSA etc). Maintain correct bookkeeping about these measurements
- Releases parts of installations for maintenance according the lock-out/tag-out procedures
- Responsible for the preparation of operating procedures for work packs for own- and other departments
- Executes operational maintenance (PM + CM) (by himself for minor repairs or with help of maintenance staff through approved work orders and permits)
- Assists in crane lifting duties/boat handling and helideck duty when required
- Member of emergency team
- Supervises vendors and ad-hoc maintenance personnel as required
Requirements
What we search for in you
We’re happy to hear from professionals with a relevant technical education (MTS or equal) and preferable VAPRO C and relevant experience. In this role you'll require both Dutch and English language skills.
