For one of our clients in the Offshore Energy Industry we are looking for a Jr. Naval Architecture Designer.

Our clients designs, builds, installs and operates offshore floating facilities for the offshore energy industry. They are a leading technology provider and they put their marine expertise and the service of a responsible energy transition by reducing emissions from fossil fuel production, while developing cleaner solutions for renewable energy sources. 

The discipline Naval Architecture has the task to provide Naval Architectural Engineering and Design to the Group Product Lines (containing of studies, proposals, technology development, Pre-FEED projects, FEED projects and EPCI projects). The typical scope of the discipline Naval Architecture includes loading and stability, accommodation design, deck equipment and lifesaving equipment, support to the shipyard bidding process and procurement, inclining experiments, etc. The discipline Naval Architecture also provides major contribution to the overall design of the floater, especially for new build projects and in the concept phase of projects.

Currently we are looking for a Jr. Naval Designer to reinforce the discipline of Naval Architecture.

The Hull Design Department within the company consists of 3 disciplines:

  • Naval Architecture
  • Structural Hull
  • Marine Systems

Job description
In the role of Jr. Naval Designer, you will be taking the role on projects covering the scope of the discipline Naval Architecture related to preparing 2D (AutoCAD) drawings and making 3D models. You will particularly focus on high-quality and cost-effective our client’s FPSOs products.

Requirements

Our client is looking for candidates who just received a Dutch MBO level degree or equivalent (i.e. Professional Certification) related to Naval Architecture.
