For one of our clients in the Oil&Gas Industry we are looking for a Drilling/P&A Engineer.
 
The Drilling/P&A Engineer acts as the company’s technical representative and is involved in the technical planning and monitoring of the well program under the direction of the Senior Drilling Engineer, Drilling Engineering Team Lead during the well planning phase and the Drilling Superintendent during the execution phase.

Thereby, you:

  • Perform the work for designing, engineering, execution support of the drilling an P&A program with particular emphasis on HSEQ performance, technical improvement and cost-effective delivery
  • Shall be involved with all aspects of well design and planning and provide inputs in technology selection and contracting strategy for achieving well objectives and provide overall operational support and planning as part of the drilling execution team
  • Must be capable of performing engineering tasks and support operations associated with drilling, P&A and completion activities as well as operational On-Duty tasks
  • Direct and mentor Junior Drilling Engineers
  • Stand in as Well Site Drilling Engineer offshore
  • Support the Senior Drilling Engineer Lead to carry out the responsibilities of all well delivery engineering associated duties
  • Need to be able to deputize for Senior Drilling Engineer
  • Are able to work with several different functional disciplines in a non-authority team function to achieve program objectives

Requirements

  • The candidate we seek has a Master degree in Petroleum or Mechanical engineering, or other relevant technical discipline and 5 years of drilling/P&A or well operations engineering experience of which a minimum of 2 years on (offshore) well sites. Southern North Sea experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge and a good understanding of applicable governmental rules & regulations and technical expertise in drilling and well services operations. Practical experience with well engineering and reporting software packages (Halliburton EDM package and WellView).
  • Lead by example by proactively demonstrating and promoting compliance and commitment to HSEQ policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills are essential and a good knowledge of both written and verbal English
